How do I know when to change the ink of my HP printer?

There is an ink level gauge in the Control Panel on the printer. It shows the ink level information for each printer cartridge, four indicators for the tricolor cartridge and four indicators for the black cartridge. When the printer is running very low on ink, you will get a warning message to replace the ink cartridges.
