Trying to insert new ink cartridges in HP envy 4520, cant get the orange plastic off

I am trying to insert new ink cartridges. There is an orange plastic piece on the top of the cartridge. Unless that is removed, I can’t insert but somehow I cant get it off. How do I do this?
