my hp officejet pro 6960 printer goes offline, cannot print, 5 jobs waiting in the queue. it is connected using a usb cable, not wireless

Open and run the HP print and scan doctor, the hp software will search for the error that is causing the issue and will automatically fix it for your wired connection printing. If the hp print and scan doctor software is not available on your computer, you can go to hp support website and download the software for free.
