HP Envy 7640 series printer will no longer print The prompt says, “printer validation failed.”

My HP Envy 7640 series printer will no longer print for me. The prompt says, “printer validation failed.” I assume some settings were adjusted in an auto update. Suggestions? I have been printing wirelessly to get around this, but must spend the time now to fix it. Big hassle to throw everything into an email and print the email.
